Finding Refuge in the Almighty
As summer’s sweltering heat begins to subside, we’re reminded of the importance of finding shelter from life’s challenges. For believers, this refuge is found in the loving care of God Most High.
The Shadow of Protection
According to Psalm 91:1, those who dwell in God’s shelter will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This promise is especially comforting during difficult times, when the enemy’s attacks can leave us feeling drained and discouraged. Yet, even in the darkest moments, God’s presence offers us unseen strength and protection.
Trusting in the Unseen
When we can’t see evidence of God’s presence, it’s easy to doubt His involvement in our lives. That’s why it’s essential to cultivate a heart that trusts in His goodness, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. As we pray, we ask God to give us eyes to see beyond our current struggles and a heart to believe in His steadfast love.
A Prayer for Strength
Dear Lord, I ask that You be my rock, my shelter, and my protection in times of attack. When soul-withering despair threatens to consume me, please be my refreshment and my hope. Help me to trust in Your goodness, even when I can’t see it. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
