**Unwavering Pursuit**

The Unrelenting Pursuit of Love

As I stood in the midst of my daughters’ frantic searches for their lost treasures, I couldn’t help but think of the parable of the lost sheep. The desperation in their eyes, the urgency in their voices, it was as if their very worlds depended on finding those missing pieces. And in that moment, I was struck by the profound realization that God’s love for us is infinitely more intense, more relentless, and more unwavering.

Just as the shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one that has strayed, God seeks us out with a passion that defies human understanding. He doesn’t wait for us to come to Him; He actively searches for us, even when we’re trying to hide. The story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is a poignant reminder that we can’t escape His gaze, no matter how hard we try.

But what sets God’s love apart is its unwavering acceptance. He doesn’t shame us for our mistakes or our wanderings. Instead, He rejoices over us when we return to Him, and He longs for us to hear His call. As the hymn “Come Thou Fount” so beautifully puts it, “Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart Lord, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.”

Perhaps you’re reading this and feeling lost, unsure of how to find your way back to God. Maybe you’re hiding from Him, afraid of His judgment or disappointed in yourself. But I want you to know that God’s love is not conditional. He doesn’t require perfection; He requires honesty. He wants you to come to Him, just as you are, and let Him envelop you in His loving embrace.

So take a moment to reflect on your life. Is there an area where you’re hiding from God? Is there a part of you that’s crying out for redemption? Let God’s pursuit of you be the catalyst for your return. Confess, repent, and let Him seal your heart for His courts above. He’s waiting for you, and His love will never let you go.
