Encountering the Unshakeable: The Timeless Power of Jesus Christ

The Unshakeable Reality of Truth

In a world where facts are frequently distorted and manipulated, the concept of truth has become increasingly elusive. However, as Winston Churchill so aptly put it, “Truth is incontrovertible. Ignorance may attack it and malice may deride it, but in the end, there it is.”

A Personal Encounter with Truth

For many, the notion of truth is no longer an absolute, but rather a subjective experience shaped by individual perspectives and biases. Yet, for those who have encountered Jesus, the truth takes on a profoundly personal dimension. He is the one who declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). This truth is not just a philosophical concept, but a living, breathing reality that has transformed countless lives throughout history.

Eyewitness Accounts of Truth

From John the Baptist’s declaration, “Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29), to the Samaritan woman’s testimony, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did” (John 4:29), numerous individuals have borne witness to the truth of Jesus Christ. Peter, the apostle, affirmed, “You are the Christ, the son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16), while a man born blind, who received his sight from Jesus, worshiped him, saying, “Lord, I believe” (John 9:38).

The Unwavering Certainty of Truth

Even in the face of skepticism and doubt, truth remains unwavering. Pilate’s question, “What is truth?” (John 18:38), was met with Jesus’ unshakeable confidence in his own identity. A criminal on the cross, recognizing the truth in Jesus, asked to be remembered in his kingdom, and was assured, “Today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:42-43).

The Ultimate Triumph of Truth

In the end, truth will prevail. As the apostle Paul wrote, “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:9-11). The truth of Jesus Christ will one day be universally acknowledged, and every individual will be compelled to respond to his majesty.

The Question That Remains

So, how will you choose to respond to the truth today? Will you acknowledge the unwavering reality of Jesus Christ, or will you continue to ignore or deny his presence in your life? The choice is yours, but the truth remains unshakeable, waiting to be encountered and embraced.
