**Beyond the Finish Line**

**The Unseen Victory**

When we think of racing, we often imagine a competitive spirit, where athletes push themselves to the limit to cross the finish line first. But what if I told you there’s a different kind of victory, one that’s not about being the fastest or the strongest?

I recently came across a powerful video that changed my perspective on what it means to win. An athlete was running a race, leading the pack, until he fell and injured himself. Despite the pain, he got up and continued to limp towards the finish line. As the crowd cheered him on, his father jumped in and together they crossed the finish line, arm in arm. The athlete’s message was clear: “We’re in this together.”

This reminded me of Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 4:7-8, where he compares the Christian journey to a race. It’s not about being the first to cross the finish line, but about finishing the race with faithfulness and perseverance. The prize isn’t just for the individual, but for all who have remained faithful and longed for Christ’s return.

The race we’re running is unique to each of us, designed by God Himself. We’re not in competition with others, but rather running for Jesus. We must keep our eyes fixed on Him, lest we become discouraged by comparing ourselves to others or focusing on our circumstances.

Are you feeling weary in your journey? Remember, God isn’t looking for perfection, but persistence. As you keep your eyes on Jesus, you’ll find the courage and strength to keep going until the finish line. And if you stumble, He’ll be there to pick you up and get you back on track.

We also need each other in this race. Just as the father encouraged his son to finish, we can come alongside others and offer support and encouragement. Who can you think of that needs a helping hand today?

**Prayer:** Lord Jesus, thank you for being with me in this race. I depend on your strength to help me finish well.
