The Unbreakable Bond of Family
When it comes to our biological family, no matter how strained relationships may become, we cannot simply cast out our loved ones. The ties that bind us through DNA are unshakeable, a permanent connection that lasts a lifetime. But what about our spiritual family? What happens when we accept salvation and become children of God?
A New Lineage
According to John 1:12, upon salvation, we become part of God’s family, adopted as His children. This new spiritual parenthood redefines our identity and secures our eternal destiny. As Paul writes in Ephesians 1:13, “Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” This divine seal guarantees our salvation, and God would never abandon what belongs to Him.
A Price Too High to Pay
The thought of God leaving us unguarded is unthinkable. He paid the ultimate price for our redemption, and His investment in us is too great to risk losing us. As Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:30, “He has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.” This assurance brings comfort and peace, knowing that our salvation is secure.
The Power of Assurance
This confidence in our salvation makes all the difference in our lives. It gives us hope, courage, and strength to face life’s challenges. We are no longer alone, but part of a spiritual family that is forever connected to our Heavenly Father. And in this family, we are safe, loved, and cherished.
