The All-Encompassing Nature of Jesus Christ
The Bible declares that Jesus Christ is the creator of all things, both visible and invisible, in heaven and on earth (Colossians 1:16-17). This profound truth underscores the reality that Jesus is not just a part of our lives, but the very essence of our existence. He is not just a savior, but the all-in-all that we desperately need.
The Futility of a Partial Savior
Imagine if Jesus were only a partial savior, leaving us to find the remaining pieces to complete our salvation. The thought is daunting, to say the least. We would be lost, half-forgiven, and half-blessed, still searching for the missing parts to make us whole. But thankfully, Jesus is not a 99% savior; He is the complete and perfect Savior who has not failed us in even the smallest detail.
The Abundance of Spiritual Blessings
In Jesus, we have access to all spiritual blessings and an abundance of grace that overflows towards us. He gives us His life, love, heart, and time without reservation. The fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Him, and all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him. He is the one who holds all things together, and His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
The Unwavering Faithfulness of Jesus
Jesus is good to us in all His ways, faithful to us in all His promises, and merciful to us in all His prayers. He has given us everything we need for life and godliness, and He is worthy of our complete allegiance, devotion, worship, praise, obedience, and trust. With all our love, hearts, souls, and strength, we can confidently declare that Jesus is all in all, forever.
A Song of Praise
As A.B. Simpson so eloquently put it, “All in all forever, Jesus will I sing; Everything in Jesus, And Jesus everything.” This is our anthem, our declaration of faith, and our heartfelt cry to the one who is our all in all.
