Trusting the Unshakeable God
In a world where disappointment and heartache are inevitable, it’s crucial to have an unwavering trust in someone who will never let us down. As we navigate life’s twists and turns, we often learn the hard way that anyone other than our almighty God can fail us. So, what makes Him so trustworthy?
The Character of God
Unlike the idols of old, which were mere carvings of wood or stone, our modern-day idols may be more subtle – wealth, power, fame, or relationships. These empty pursuits can consume our time, money, and passion, leaving us feeling fruitless and unfulfilled. In stark contrast, Jehovah is alive and real, eager to be intimately involved in our lives.
Faithful and True
God is truth incarnate, always faithful and reliable (John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 10:13). Unlike sinful humanity, our sovereign God has all power and control over every situation. Christ’s unconditional love for us is rooted in His character, not our behavior or status. This love was demonstrated when He willingly gave His life in our place.
Unchanging and Timeless
The heavenly Father’s attributes are timeless and unchanging – He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His faithfulness, love, and sovereignty are forever true. In a world where change is constant, and suspicion reigns, we have a Friend who is 100 percent reliable.
Relying on the Creator
So, why settle for giving God just the easy concerns? Instead, rely on your Creator for everything. He desires a personal relationship with His beloved and is able to guide each believer through life victoriously. Don’t be afraid to trust Him with your deepest fears, worries, and doubts. He is the one true God who will never let you down.
