Surrendered to His Glory: Unlocking the Power of Humility

The Power of Surrender

In the realm of the divine, where eternity reigns supreme, the Holy One speaks words of comfort and restoration to those who humble themselves before Him. As Isaiah 57:15 NKJV so eloquently puts it, “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.”

A Vessel of Honor

Kathryn Kuhlman once wisely said that God seeks not golden or silver vessels, but yielded vessels. These vessels, sanctified and set apart from sin, are the ones He uses for His purposes. A yielded vessel is one that recognizes its dependence on the Lord, walking in humility and giving God its consent to be all. It knows that without the presence of the Lord, it is empty and has nothing to offer.

The Flow of the Holy Spirit

Just as water seeks out the lowest place, the Holy Spirit flows into the yielded vessel. As 2 Corinthians 4:7 NKJV reminds us, “We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” When we surrender to God, we become receptive to His power and presence.

A Prayer of Surrender

Lord, I choose to be Your yielded vessel. I surrender to Your will, setting aside my own desires and ambitions. Use me as You see fit, whether it be in a prominent place or a humble one. Fill me with Your presence, and use me for Your glory. I am content to be in Your hands, in Your care, and in Your keeping.

A Heart of Surrender

In this state of surrender, we find true freedom and purpose. We become vessels of honor, filled with the treasure of God’s power and presence. May we continually yield ourselves to Him, that He may use us for His glory and our good.
