A Fresh Start: Listening to God’s Call
As the festive season comes to a close, our homes, once filled with laughter and joy, can feel empty and quiet. The Christmas decorations are packed away, and the nail holes from the stockings serve as a reminder of the memories we’ve made. It’s time to refresh and renew our spaces, but more importantly, it’s time to refocus on our relationship with God.
Seeking God’s Plan
As we stand at the threshold of a new year, it’s natural to think about our personal goals and resolutions. But have we stopped to ask God what He has in store for us? In Isaiah 6:8, God asks, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” The question is not just for the prophet Isaiah, but for each of us. Will we respond with a willing heart, saying, “Here am I. Send me!”?
Distracted by Many Things
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get pulled in multiple directions. We can feel overwhelmed by the demands of daily life, making it difficult to hear God’s voice. But God knows exactly what we need to focus on, and He wants to guide us. Let’s take a moment to pause, reflect, and ask God to direct our steps.
A Prayer for Guidance
Lord, I am torn in so many directions. I long to obey Your voice, calling me to exactly what I need to be doing. I place this desire before You today, asking that You would direct my steps. Help me to hear You and understand what You want for me in this new year. Give me the courage to say, “Lord, here I am, send me.” Amen.
A New Year, A New Purpose
As we embark on this new year, let’s make a conscious effort to listen to God’s voice, to seek His plan, and to respond with a willing heart. Our goals and resolutions pale in comparison to God’s purpose for our lives. Let’s not miss out on the incredible opportunities that await us.
