The Unwavering Burden-Bearer
In the midst of life’s chaos, it’s comforting to know that we have a loving God who cares deeply for us. As Psalm 68:19 beautifully puts it, “What a glorious Lord! He who daily bears our burdens also gives us our salvation.” This profound truth is reinforced in 1 Peter 5:7, where God instructs us to “cast all your cares upon Him; for He careth for you.”
Obedience and Faith
Failing to cast our cares upon the Lord is not only disobedience but also a denial of the supernatural walk with God that He desires for us. Can we truly believe that the God who loved us enough to sacrifice His only Son would not be faithful to keep His promise to bear our burdens daily? The answer is a resounding “yes!” Our heavenly Father is committed to carrying our load, strengthening us, and imparting power to us through His indwelling Holy Spirit – if we only ask.
A Marvel of Marvels
The psalmist highlights a remarkable truth: our great burden-bearer is also the one who gives us our salvation and the assurance of eternal life. What more could we ask for? With the certainty of forgiveness and the knowledge that God bears our burdens, our lives should radiate honor and glory to Him. We should share His blessings and the message of His great love with others, reflecting the supernatural life promised in both the Old and New Testaments.
A Glorious Promise
Psalm 68:15-18 paints a vivid picture of God’s majesty and power: “Mount Bashan, majestic mountain, Mount Bashan, rugged mountain… The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands; the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary.” This passage reminds us that God’s provision for the supernatural life is not limited to the New Testament; it is a thread woven throughout Scripture.
A Personal Challenge
Today, take a moment to reflect on your burdens and worries. Are you casting them all on the Lord, trusting in His care and provision? Take the opportunity to encourage those around you to do the same. Remember, our God is a glorious burden-bearer who desires to walk with us supernaturally, bearing our burdens and giving us salvation.
