Centering Your Life on God’s Plan

Prioritizing God’s Agenda

As believers, we’re called to make God the central figure in our lives. As Colossians 1:18 reminds us, “He is the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, the first to come back to life so that he would have first place in everything.” This truth should shape our daily routines and relationships.

Seeking God in the Morning

Personally, I cherish those early morning moments when I can steal away to spend time with Jesus. With a fresh cup of coffee in hand, I immerse myself in His Word, eager to receive new insights and guidance. It’s in these quiet hours that I seek to understand His teachings and align my heart with His will.

Honoring God with Our Time

To truly prioritize God’s agenda, we must be willing to surrender our own plans and schedules. This means being flexible when unexpected circumstances arise, recognizing that His will takes precedence over ours. As David’s prayer so eloquently puts it, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Putting God First in Relationships

But prioritizing God’s agenda goes beyond our personal devotional time. We’re called to put Him first in our relationships, too. This means recognizing that our relationships with family and friends are built upon and centered in Christ’s deep love. Only by abiding in Him can we experience this pure, selfless love.

Giving God the Highest Honor

In a world where people come and go, God remains a constant presence in our lives. He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. And one day, we’ll worship, praise, and glorify Him with all our hearts, all the time. Until then, let’s strive to give Him the highest honor, the seat at the head of the table, in every aspect of our lives.
