Revival in the Midst of Brokenness
Life is full of moments when things just don’t work as they should. The remote control fails, the garage door gets stuck, and the list goes on. Usually, the solution is simple: recharge or replace the batteries. But what about our spiritual lives? Do we need a spiritual reboot?
Designed for Dependence
In God’s economy, there are no new upgrades or models to keep up with. We don’t need to worry about recalls or design flaws. Instead, we need to stay connected to the Lord, constantly recharging our spiritual batteries through His Word. We were created to depend on God, not to try to go it alone.
The Need for Daily Revival
Every day, we need the Lord to breathe life into our weary bones, to revive our hearts and spirits. We often try to find power in the wrong places, leaving us feeling drained and depleted. But it’s the Lord who restores and revives us, making it essential for our survival to stay plugged into His Word.
A New Operating System
God has designed our new nature to be daily charged by His power (Ezekiel 36:25-27). Just as our phones need daily charging, our hearts need daily sustenance from the ultimate Power Source. While our hearts and flesh may fail, God is our strength and portion forever (Psalm 73:26).
Continual Sustenance
This “plugging in” isn’t just a once-daily habit, but a continuous process throughout the day. When we prioritize our time with the Father, it changes everything. We submit to our need for the Holy Spirit to daily recalibrate our hearts, and we plug into Him for the grace and strength to survive and thrive in a broken world.
Our Greatest Need
As broken people living in a broken culture, our greatest need is to be plugged into the only One who can bring revival to our hearts. And the amazing news is that Jesus came to revive our hearts, to awaken and sustain us. So, how are your batteries? Are you plugged into the ultimate Power Source?
