When Tears Fall, God Listens
Judy’s world was shattered when her brother passed away unexpectedly from cancer. The grief and fear of her own mortality overwhelmed her, leaving her feeling isolated and alone. Tears became her constant companion, as she struggled to come to terms with the loss.
A Midnight Awakening
One night, Judy woke up from a deep sleep, her mind foggy and her heart heavy. As she sat up in bed, a phrase echoed in her mind: “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears.” She laughed, wondering aloud if she had really spoken those words. Lying back down, she tried to drift off to sleep again, but a nagging thought persisted: “Was this from God?”
A Message of Comfort
Judy’s curiosity got the better of her, and she reached for a Bible to uncover the source of the mysterious phrase. As she read Isaiah 38:5, her eyes landed on the reassuring words: “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.” Tears of sorrow turned to tears of joy as she realized that God had been listening all along. In that moment, Judy understood that she didn’t have to carry her burdens alone. God had seen her tears and was ready to comfort her.
God’s Promise of Comfort
Judy’s story serves as a powerful reminder that God is always present, even in our darkest moments. He sees our tears, hears our prayers, and longs to comfort us. When we turn to Him in prayer, He promises to be our refuge and strength. So, dear friend, don’t be afraid to cry out to God in your times of need. He is waiting to wrap you in His loving arms and whisper words of comfort to your soul.
