Celebrating God’s Goodness in Our Lives
Remembering God’s Faithfulness
“Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (Psalm 103:2). It’s inspiring to reflect on how God’s hand guided the lives of ancient saints, delivering them from trouble, pardoning their mistakes, and keeping His covenant with them. However, it’s even more remarkable to acknowledge God’s presence in our own lives.
Our Personal History with God
We often overlook the significance of our own experiences with God, assuming that He only performed mighty acts in the past. But what about the wonders He has worked in our lives today? Let’s take a closer look at our own history, and we’ll likely discover numerous instances of God’s goodness and truth that are just as remarkable as those of the saints who came before us.
Reflecting on God’s Deliverance
Has God rescued you from a difficult situation? Have you navigated treacherous waters, supported by His divine presence? Have you walked through fiery trials unscathed? Remember, this is the same God who granted Solomon’s heart’s desire. Hasn’t He also heard and answered your prayers? This is the God of abundance, who David praised, saying, “Who satisfies your desires with good things.” Has He never lavished you with blessings? Have you never rested in green pastures or been led beside still waters?
Weaving a Tapestry of Praise
The goodness of God has been just as evident in our lives as it was in the lives of the ancient saints. Let’s create a song of thanksgiving, using the pure gold of gratitude and the jewels of praise to craft another crown for Jesus. Let our souls produce sweet music, as exhilarating as the melodies that flowed from David’s harp, as we praise the Lord whose mercy endures forever!
A Personal Reflection
How has God personally delivered you from trouble? Take a moment to reflect on His goodness in your life, and let your heart overflow with gratitude and praise.
