Miraculous Healing: A Touch of Divine Comfort

A Miraculous Touch

Years ago, I suffered a devastating fall that left me with two broken ankles. The aftermath was agonizing – I had no feeling in the bottom of my left foot, and even the slightest muscle cramp would trigger sharp, stabbing pain in my toes. The only relief came when someone would gently bend my toes up and down, releasing the tension. With casts on both legs, I was dependent on others to bring me comfort.

A Friend’s Visit

One day, a friend came to visit, and as we chatted, my foot began to cramp up again. I asked him to bend my toes, and he kindly obliged. Later, as he prayed for me, my foot started cramping once more. Not wanting to interrupt, I clenched my teeth and waited. But then, something remarkable happened – I felt a warm, soothing hand on my foot. The pain vanished, replaced by a sense of tranquility. I assumed it was my friend who had noticed my distress and had come to my aid.

A Surprising Revelation

When my friend finished praying, I opened my eyes to thank him, only to find that he was still standing by the head of the bed. Confused, I looked down to see who was holding my foot – and was astonished to find no one there. The warmth lingered, and the cramping never returned. I was grateful for my friend’s presence and his prayer.

A Turning Point

Later that day, when the doctor drew his pen along the bottom of my foot, I felt a ticklish sensation – a sign that I was finally regaining feeling in my foot. It was a small miracle, but one that filled me with hope.

A Prayer for You

As I reflect on that experience, I’m reminded of the importance of following Jesus’ example and serving others. My prayer for you this week is that you, too, will be blessed as you wash the feet of others, just as Jesus did for his disciples. May you experience the joy and peace that comes from serving others. Amen.
