A New Chapter Awaits
As the calendar flips to a brand new year, many of us can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. For Gail Rodgers Kelly, the prospect of a fresh start was especially welcome. She had made some choices in the past that had led to consequences she wasn’t proud of, and she was eager to leave them behind.
The Weight of Regret
As she gazed into the mirror, Kelly was reminded of her mistakes and the regrets that lingered. A Divine Reminder

She needed divine intervention.

With a humble heart, Kelly turned to God, confessing her stubborn independence and asking for His forgiveness. She acknowledged that only He could create a clean heart within her, and that His strength was the only force powerful enough to overcome her weaknesses. As she prayed, Kelly felt a sense of liberation wash over her. She knew that God would guide her towards the right path, surround her with supportive people, and empower her to make better choices.
Embracing True Freedom
True freedom from the cycle of regret and self-doubt comes not from our own resolutions, but from surrendering to God’s transformative power. By turning to Him, seeking forgiveness, and embracing His guidance, we can break free from the patterns that hold us back. As Kelly discovered, God’s daily strength is more potent than any human determination, and His presence is the key to walking in a way that pleases Him and brings us joy.
A Prayer for Renewal
Dear Father God,
Thank you for desiring a fresh start for me. Forgive my stubborn independence and create a clean heart within me. Grant me daily strength to make right choices, and renew my mind with new thoughts and desires that honor You. Guide me along Your pathway, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ strong name, I pray, amen.
