Eternal Perfection Awaits
Imagine a life where every moment is a reflection of your true, heavenly self. No more struggles with envy, resentment, or fear. No more sharp tongues or unpredictable moods. Just pure, unadulterated joy and love.
Glimpses of Heaven on Earth
We catch glimpses of this life even now. When we forgive, tolerate, and serve others, we display hints of our future, perfected selves. But it’s the other moments, filled with worry, dread, and resentment, that wear us down. Satan lurks in the shadows, stealing our peace, joy, and love. But his days are numbered.
A Future Without Curse
In heaven, there will be no more curse (Revelation 22:3). Satan will not tempt, and we will not stumble. Christ will have completed his redemptive work, excising all gossip, jealousy, and orneriness from our souls. We’ll love the result – no more doubt, question, or evil speech. God’s sin-purging power will bring an end to all strife.
No More Boredom
Boredom emerges from the soils of weariness, mental limitations, and self-centeredness. But in heaven, these weeds will be gone, leaving us with keen minds, endless focus, and God-honoring assignments. We might serve in capacities similar to those we have now, but with a perfected heart and mind. Imagine architects designing blueprints for a new heaven, or cooks preparing feasts on Saturn. God will entrust us with caring for his new creation, and we’ll love every moment of it.
A Perfect Place of Perfected People
Heaven is a place where we’ll never be weary, selfish, or defeated. Our minds will be clear, our muscles tireless, and our joy unhindered. We’ll serve our perfect Lord with perfect hearts, free from the curse of sin. No more Satan, no more temptation – just eternal perfection, forever and ever.
