Building Each Other Up
The apostle Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 serve as a powerful reminder: “Encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” In an era where novelty and innovation often take center stage, Paul’s exhortation stands out for its simplicity and focus on affirmation.
Celebrating the Everyday
We’re often tempted to prioritize the new and improved over the tried and true. But as Christians, we need to recognize and celebrate the good things we’re already doing. A simple “well done” or “keep up the great work” can go a long way in motivating each other to continue living out our faith.
A Prayer for Faithfulness
Faithful Father, I thank you for taking notice of the good things I’ve done that bring you joy. Help me to continue doing what pleases you, and to do it with excellence, so that you may be glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
