Finding Opportunity in Obstacles
When life gets stuck, our natural response is to question. But what if that difficult situation is actually a divine appointment? Instead of seeing obstacles, could we view them as opportunities to fulfill our purpose?
Unfinished Business
The apostle Paul wrote to Titus, “The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished…” (Titus 1:5). Paul’s instruction to Titus serves as a reminder that our current circumstances might be the perfect chance to complete what has been left undone. Perhaps the challenges we face are invitations to follow Jesus’ instructions and make a meaningful impact.
Following Jesus’ Instructions
Jesus has given us clear guidance on our mission: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). This mandate is not limited by our circumstances; rather, it empowers us to transform obstacles into opportunities.
Authority and Presence
In Matthew 28:18-20, we’re reminded that Jesus possesses all authority in heaven and on earth, and He promises to be with us always, even to the very end of the age. This means that, regardless of our situation, we can rely on Jesus’ power to overcome any obstacle and turn it into an opportunity.
A Prayer of Gratitude
Let us thank our Heavenly Father for His loving Holy Spirit, who is constantly working in us to make us more like Him. May we be blameless, faithful, obedient, and holy, using our lives to encourage others and refute those who oppose God’s truth. May we hold firmly to His Word and live a life that reflects His character. (Titus 1:5-9)
By embracing this mindset, we can turn our stuck situations into opportunities to come alongside others and draw them closer to Jesus. Our lives become a living testimony to God’s power and love, inspiring others to know Him more deeply.
