Embracing the Promise-Keeper
As Easter approaches, let us collectively remember that our God is a faithful promise-keeper. He is the one who has been guiding us throughout history, and it is our privilege to worship Him together.
The God of Covenant Promises
Our Maker, the Lord, is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 9:9-11, 17:2; Acts 3:13). He is the God of Israel, the Fear of Isaac, and the Pride of Jacob (Isaiah 24:15; Genesis 31:42; Amos 8:7; 1 Samuel 17:45). He is the Sword of Israel’s majesty, the God of the Hebrews, and the God of the spirits of all flesh (Deuteronomy 33:29; Exodus 3:18; Numbers 27:16).
A Heartfelt Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for being the God of covenant promises. You are the one who keeps Your promises to us, Your children. Today, I ask that You remind me of the promises You have made to me in the past and refresh my faith to believe them with new confidence. Thank you for promising never to leave me, for guiding me with Your word, and for hearing my prayers. Thank you for being my guard and guide today.
Finding Comfort in His Promises
I am grateful for the promise in Psalm 94:18-19, which says, “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ Your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul.” This promise reminds me that Your love supports me even when I feel like I’m walking on slippery ground. Your consolation brings me deep joy, and I am thankful for that.
Worshiping Our Maker
Today, I choose to trust You and worship You, dear Lord. I kneel before You, acknowledging that You are my Maker and the one I can trust with my life, even in the midst of unanswered questions. I pray that You will bless my heart with peace, patience, and a sense of Your support wherever I may be. Grant me the confidence that You will hold me securely. I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus, amen.
