The Humility of Worship
As we reflect on Psalm 95:6-7, we are reminded that worship is not just a feeling or an action, but a posture. It’s a physical and emotional expression of our surrender to God. The verse says, “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.”
Understanding the Heart of Worship
When we grasp the depth of God’s grace and love for us, we are compelled to respond with humility and reverence. We come to Him not as equals, but as children, acknowledging His sovereignty and care over our lives. As we bow down, we recognize that He is our Maker, our Shepherd, and our King.
A Prayer of Submission
In the midst of life’s pressures and temptations, we can find rest and protection in God’s presence. Let us pray: “Pastor of my soul, I come to you seeking your protection and rest as one of your sheep. I submit myself to be used for your glory, not just today, but for the rest of my life. In Jesus, I pray. Amen.”
