Uncertainty Meets Certainty
Life is full of unknowns. Will the economy recover? Will our favorite team win the championship? What’s going on in our loved ones’ minds? Even the Bible acknowledges our uncertainty when it comes to prayer (Romans 8:26). But amidst all the uncertainty, there are four things we can be absolutely sure of.
God’s Unwavering Presence
God is always at work, behind the scenes, above the chaos, and within the turmoil. He never takes a break, never tires, and never stops working. His presence is a constant in our lives, a reassuring fact that brings comfort and hope.
God’s Good Intentions
But God’s work isn’t just about being busy; it’s about working for our ultimate good. Not for our temporary comfort or pleasure, but for our long-term benefit. And why wouldn’t we expect that from a God who is the ultimate good?
Loving God Brings Blessings
One of the greatest benefits of loving God is that He writes a salvation theme into our biography. Our story becomes a part of His story, and that brings a happy ending – guaranteed! By making God’s story our own, we can be confident that our lives are being shaped for our supreme good.
God’s All-Encompassing Work
The Greek word “panta” means all-inclusive, and that’s exactly how God works. Not just through a few things or the good things, but in all things. Our lives are not a random collection of disconnected events; they’re a crafted narrative written by a good God who is working tirelessly for our benefit.
A Life of Purpose
So, we’re not puppets in the hands of fate or fortune. We’re in the hands of a living, loving God who is working towards our ultimate good. Our lives have purpose, direction, and meaning because of God’s unwavering presence and work in our lives.
