Rediscovering the Wonder of God
As we journey through life, it’s easy to lose sight of the awe-inspiring nature of God. We become familiar with His grace, blind to His glory, and oblivious to His love. But what if we could recapture the sense of wonder that comes with knowing Him?
A Childlike Heart
Remember the story of Timothy, a six-year-old boy who marveled at the beauty of creation on his way home from school? The blooming flowers, dancing butterflies, and fuzzy caterpillars left him in a state of amazement. Can we, too, approach God with a similar sense of wonder?
Jesus himself encouraged this childlike attitude when he took children in his arms and blessed them (Mark 10:16). It’s not about having a childlike intellect, but rather a humble and receptive heart (1 Corinthians 13:11). When we approach God with this mindset, we’re reminded of our lowly place and His high exaltation, yet we’re also lifted up as friends of God (John 15:15).
Praising God’s Majesty
The psalmist writes, “Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised” (Psalm 113:2-3). As we gaze upon the natural beauty around us, let’s not forget to acknowledge the Creator behind it all.
A Call to Reflection
Take a moment to reflect on the wonders of God’s creation. What do you admire most about the natural beauty around you? Have you stopped to really see it lately? Allow yourself to be awestruck by God’s majesty, and let your heart be filled with praise and gratitude.
