Freedom from Guilt and Sin
Imagine standing in a courtroom, accused of a crime you know you’re guilty of. The judge’s gavel comes down, and you’re declared “not guilty!” The weight of your chains lifts, and you’re free to walk out of the courtroom a new person. But then, you see someone else being led away in chains, paying the price for your crime.
The Reality of Our Sin
This scenario illustrates the spiritual reality we all face. We’ve all broken God’s commandments in thought or deed, making us guilty of sin. The Bible says we deserve the death penalty, but God has provided a way out.
The Gift of Salvation
God’s gift to us is His Son, Jesus, who paid the price for our sins. When we accept His sacrifice, we’re set free from the guilt and shame of our past. We can experience forgiveness and start a new life with Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Starting Your Journey with Christ
If you’ve never had a personal relationship with Christ, you can start today. It begins with a simple prayer:
“Lord, thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I want to know You personally. I open the door of my life to You and ask You to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.”
