Embracing the Purpose Behind Our Struggles
Have you ever felt like God is distant or uninvolved in your life, especially during times of hardship? The truth is, God is always at work in us, whether we’re aware of it or not. He doesn’t take pleasure in making our lives difficult, but rather, He uses those challenges to shape us into the best version of ourselves.
A Purposeful Path
Lamentations 3:33 reminds us that God doesn’t delight in our sufferings, but rather, He delights in our growth and development. As Paul wrote in Philippians 1:6, “God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure He will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again.” This means that our struggles aren’t interruptions to our lives, but rather, they’re an essential part of our journey towards becoming the people God intended us to be.
Redeeming Our Trials
It’s easy to view our troubles as punishment or random misfortune. But what if we saw them as opportunities for growth and training? What if we believed that God is using these difficulties to prepare us for something greater? The truth is, our struggles aren’t a sign of God’s absence, but rather, they’re a sign of His presence and guidance in our lives.
Training for God’s Holy Best
God’s ultimate goal is to train us to live according to His holy best. He wants us to reflect His character and values in our daily lives. And the good news is that He’s committed to seeing this process through to completion. So, the next time you’re facing a difficult situation, remember that God is at work in you, shaping you, molding you, and preparing you for something incredible.
