Experience God’s Unshakeable Peace: A Life of Harmony and Rest

Embracing the Peace of God

As a beloved child of God, have you ever stopped to listen to your Father’s heart and His ways for you? The Bible offers a profound insight into the nature of God’s peace in Galatians 5:22-23, 25. Here, we’re reminded that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Moreover, since we live by the Spirit, we’re called to keep in step with the Spirit.

A Gift of Peace

In Ephesians 2:14, we’re told that God Himself is our peace. This gift of peace is not just a feeling, but a Person – Jesus Christ. As He bid farewell to His disciples, Jesus gave peace as a gift from Himself (John 14:27). Today, you can receive this gift and experience the God of peace, who is always present with you (Romans 15:33).

The Author of Peace

God is the author of peace of mind, tranquility, harmony, reconciliation with Him, and a sense of His favor. He is the source of blessings such as health, welfare, prosperity, and every kind of good. As you receive the Lord of peace, you’ll experience His peace in every way, at all times (2 Thessalonians 3:16).

A Deep and Calm State

Peace is not an emotion; it’s a deep, calm, quiet state of rest and a harmonious relationship with God, yourself, and others. This peace stands in contrast to war, and it’s only necessary when conflict is a possibility. As a child of the Most High God of peace, you can put on the sandals of peace, being prepared to bring peace into all circumstances and to all people.

Living as a Peacemaker

As you live as a peacemaker, you’ll confidently say “Peace, be still” to turmoil of all kinds. Your Savior and Lord speaks His peace into you and into your world by the blessing of His presence in you. You’re adequate for the task of peace-making that your Father gives you, and He has prepared you and equipped you to do it.

The Good News of Peace

The good news of peace is that it’s pleasant, sweet, delightful, and wonderful. It’s ordained for brothers to dwell together in the unity of the Spirit of peace. As you experience the rule of the Prince of peace in your spirit, soul, and body, you’ll produce the fruit of peace that the Spirit of peace produces in you (Galatians 5:22).
