Finding Strength in Uncertain Times
When darkness closes in and anxiety takes hold, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But what if I told you that you’re stronger than you think? That despite the turmoil, you can find peace and strength in the midst of chaos?
The Power of Perspective
On those days when everything seems to be falling apart, I remind myself that my emotions can’t always be trusted. What I feel and what I know to be true often don’t align. I may feel weak, but I know God is strong. I may feel defeated, but I know God is never defeated.
Unwavering Strength
As Isaiah 40:28b-29 reminds us, “He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” God’s strength never runs out, and His understanding is beyond human comprehension. He gives power to those who need it most – the weak and the powerless.
God’s Sovereignty
How I feel depends on what I can see and what I know, but God knows what I don’t. He’s not surprised by events or taken off guard. He sees it all, and His control is absolute. Every day, all the time, God is in control. Which means I don’t have to have it all figured out.
Trusting in God’s Plan
God knows every detail of His plans, no matter how big or small. When I don’t see any possible way, God knows the way. What looks impossible to me is never impossible for God. He weaves all the details of life together in ways we can’t imagine or understand.
Following God’s Lead
I don’t have to have everything figured out before I take the next step because God does have it figured out. He knows where He’s leading me. I just have to follow. And as I do, I’m reminded that I’m stronger than I feel because God is stronger than I could ever be.
Peace That Passes Understanding
As Psalm 29:11 says, “The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.” God’s peace is not just a feeling; it’s a reality that surpasses human understanding. It’s a peace that guards my heart and mind, even in the most turbulent times.
Resting in God’s Strength
So, the next time you’re faced with uncertainty and fear, remember that you’re stronger than you feel. You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. Trust in God’s sovereignty, and rest in His strength. His plan is perfect, and His peace is yours for the taking.
