Freedom from the Frenzy of Self-Salvation
Are you tired of running on empty? Exhausted from trying to earn God’s approval? It’s time to break free from the cycle of self-salvation.
The Weight of Perfection
We often try to please God by collecting spiritual merit badges and boasting about our accomplishments. But this approach only leads to weariness and frustration. We’re so afraid of failure that we create a façade of perfection, hiding behind a mask of confidence. The result is a community of tired, slumped-shoulder Christians, worn out from trying to measure up.
The Power of Grace
But there’s a better way. Hebrews 13:9 reminds us that our hearts should be strengthened by God’s grace, not by obeying rules. We don’t have to rely on our own efforts to earn God’s love. Jesus invites us to come to Him, promising rest for our weary souls (Matthew 11:28). There’s no fine print, no hidden language, and no second shoe waiting to drop. God’s promise is simple and unconditional.
Resting in Unending Affection
So why not surrender to the hammock of grace? You have God’s unending affection, and you can rest now! Let go of the need to prove yourself and simply receive His love. You don’t have to earn it; you just have to accept it.
Embracing the Freedom of Grace
It’s time to trade in our frenzy of self-salvation for the freedom of God’s grace. Let’s stop trying to earn our way to heaven and start resting in the love of our Heavenly Father. You can experience the joy of being fully known and fully loved, without the weight of perfection. So take a deep breath, stretch out in the hammock of grace, and let God’s love envelop you.
