Encountering the Majesty of God
Worship is often misunderstood as a ritual or a routine, but it’s so much more than that. According to King David’s profound definition in Psalm 34:3, worship is about magnifying the Lord, enlarging our vision of Him, and marveling at His works. As we draw closer to God, our perception of Him grows, and He appears larger than life. In a world filled with enormous problems, worries, and questions, we desperately need a grand view of God.
A Shift in Perspective
When we truly worship, our vision expands, and our countenance is illuminated. We can’t sing praises like “Holy, Holy, Holy” without being transformed by the experience. The mark of one who has stood in God’s presence is a radiant, shining face. God is in the business of transforming lives, and it starts with ours.
A Call to Transformation
As we stand before God, our faces reflect the glory of His presence. Worship offers us a chance to recalibrate our perspective, to see God in all His majesty. In a world that often seems overwhelming, worship reminds us that God is bigger than our problems, worries, and questions. Let us approach Him with reverence and awe, and allow Him to transform us from the inside out.
Embracing the Power of Worship
Worship is not just a ritual; it’s an encounter with the living God. As we magnify Him, we open ourselves up to His transformative power. We need a big view of God, and worship provides us with that. So let us come before Him with humility and reverence, and allow His presence to illuminate our lives.
