Discovering God’s Plan for Your Life

Unlocking the Secrets of God’s Will

As we embark on a new year, our hearts yearn to understand God’s plan for our lives. We seek guidance, wisdom, and direction, just like the apostle Paul who prayed for the Colossian believers in Colossians 1:9-13. But have you ever wondered what God’s will is for you?

A Heartfelt Desire

During my daily drives with my granddaughters to school, we practice praying biblical prayers together. One morning, while memorizing Paul’s prayer, I asked them to choose what they’d like to pray for themselves. Without hesitation, my 13-year-old granddaughter chose to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will. Isn’t that a universal desire? We all want to know God’s plan for our lives.

The Power of Biblical Prayers

By praying according to God’s Word, we can be confident that we’re praying in line with His will. And when we do, we can trust that He hears us (1 John 5:14). This understanding brings us comfort and confidence, knowing that God will provide what we petition Him for.

A Watchman’s Call

Today’s scripture reveals a crucial aspect of God’s will: sharing the Gospel with others. In Ezekiel 33:7,9, God appoints the prophet Ezekiel as a watchman for the house of Israel, tasking him to warn others of their ways. Similarly, God desires us to warn others by sharing the Good News with those around us.

A New Year, A New Resolve

As we begin this new year, may our heart’s desire be to share the Gospel with everyone God gives us the opportunity to reach. May we use every moment to spread His love and truth in our homes, schools, and workplaces. Dear Father, we pray that You would use us to bring many to Christ, that they may experience the joy of becoming a new creation in Him. Amen.
