Finding Solace in the Eyes of the Lord

In a world where chaos and destruction reign, one man stood out for his unwavering devotion to God. Noah’s story is a poignant reminder of the devastating consequences of turning away from the Lord. The Bible tells us that apart from Noah, every single person on earth had rejected God, refusing to look upon His face or behold His glory.

A Glimpse of Grace

But amidst this overwhelming darkness, Noah found solace in the eyes of the Lord. He didn’t earn it; he simply met it. When he gazed upon God’s face, he encountered a depth of kindness, compassion, and care that was unparalleled. This was no coincidence – it was a deliberate act of God’s heart, an expression of His unfathomable love.

A Call to Intimacy

Today, we are invited to follow in Noah’s footsteps, to find a quiet place where we can fix our eyes upon the Lord’s. As we gaze into His eyes, we are met with a profound sense of peace and acceptance. If our vision is cloudy, we need only ask the Holy Spirit to clarify our sight. For in those eyes, we will discover a treasure trove of blessings: goodness, gentleness, consolation, and favor beyond measure.

Seeking the Face of God

As the Psalmist so eloquently puts it, “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, LORD, I will seek.’” May we respond with similar fervor, seeking the face of God with reckless abandon. For in doing so, we will find that His eyes are always upon us, radiating a love that knows no bounds.

Reflections

Take a moment to reflect on your own relationship with God. Are you seeking His face, or are you turning away? Remember that His eyes are always upon you, filled with kindness, compassion, and care. Allow yourself to be enveloped by His loving gaze, and bask in the radiance of His presence.
