Finding Joy in the Source
As children, we sang with abandon, “The prayers go up and the blessings come down…” But what if this simple melody only told half the story? What if God’s blessings often arrive unsolicited, a surprise gift from a loving Father?
The Aroma of Joy
Just as the scent of rain on parched earth is a sweet delight, so too is the fragrance of our joy to God. He takes pleasure in being the source of our happiness, the wellspring from which our smiles flow. It’s a thought both comforting and exhilarating – that our heavenly Father finds joy in our joy.
A Prayer of Delight
Holy God, tender Father, you are my greatest treasure. When all others fail, you remain steadfast. You are my rock, my fortress, my shepherd, and my mountain – unshakeable and strong. Your blessings and grace shower down upon me, filling me with an uncontainable joy. I long for the day when I’ll behold your face, basking in the radiance of your presence forever. Until then, I’ll rejoice in anticipation, my heart overflowing with gratitude.
Anticipating the Day
In Jesus’ glorious name, I pray, knowing that one day I’ll experience the fullness of God’s joy. May we all find our delight in Him, our hearts filled with the sweet aroma of His presence.
