Finding Strength in Scripture
In times of struggle, doubt, or fear, where do we turn for guidance and reassurance? The answer lies in the words of our Lord, as recorded in the Bible. Let us explore some key passages that offer hope, comfort, and wisdom in our journey of faith.
A New Creation
As believers, we are no longer bound by the flesh. Our old selves have passed away, and we are now new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). This transformation is a gift from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus. We are called to be ambassadors for Christ, spreading the message of reconciliation to a world in need.
The Power of Salvation
The Psalmist declares, “Oh sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things!” (Psalm 98:1). Our God is a God of salvation, who has revealed His righteousness to the nations. He remembers His steadfast love and faithfulness to His people, and all the ends of the earth have seen His salvation.
Walking in Righteousness
As followers of Christ, we are called to walk in His ways, rooted and built up in Him (Colossians 2:6-7). We must be mindful of the philosophies and traditions of this world, which can lead us astray. Instead, we should focus on Christ, in whom the fullness of deity dwells bodily.
A New Heaven and a New Earth
One day, we will see a new heaven and a new earth, free from the sorrows and pain of this world (Revelation 21:1-4). God will dwell with us, wiping away every tear from our eyes. Death will be no more, and all things will be made new.
