The Power of Trusting God

As I reflect on my life’s journey, I am reminded of the profound impact of trusting God with all my heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 has been my guiding principle, and I have learned to lean not on my own understanding but to acknowledge Him in all my ways. This trust has been the foundation of my relationship with God, and I have seen His faithfulness time and time again.

What Does it Mean to Trust God?

Trusting God means surrendering our will to His and believing that He is working everything out for our good, even when we cannot see or understand it. It means taking our worries and concerns to Him and leaving them in His capable hands. As Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us, His ways are higher than ours, and He is always working in ways that we cannot comprehend.

A Life of Choosing Trust

For me, choosing trust has meant trusting God’s plan for my life, even when it included difficult circumstances. I have had to trust Him through the pain of an abusive childhood, the loss of a newborn baby, and the untimely deaths of my sisters. In each of these situations, I had a choice to make: I could choose anger and bitterness, or I could choose to trust God. I chose trust, and as a result, I experienced His love, comfort, strength, and healing.

The Freedom of Trust

As I look back on my journey, I realize that trusting God has brought me freedom from pain and bitterness. It has allowed me to heal and move forward, knowing that God has a plan and purpose for my life. When our baby died, I felt God’s arms holding me, and I knew a supernatural comfort that turned to healing. After my sisters and brother-in-law passed away, I was reminded that our days are numbered by the Lord, and I was motivated to live my best life and pursue my dreams.

A Life of Trusting God with All Your Heart

A life of choosing trust is a life of trusting God with all your heart. It is a life of surrender, obedience, and faith. It is a life that says, “I trust You, God, no matter what.” As I continue on this journey, I am reminded that trusting God is a choice that I must make every day. It is a choice that brings freedom, healing, and joy, and it is a choice that I will continue to make for the rest of my life.
