Here is a possible response:
As a complementarian couple, we believe that Scripture teaches male leadership and female partnership in the home and church. However, we also recognize that there are different perspectives on this issue, and we want to engage with those who disagree with us.
We understand that evangelical feminists (egalitarians) believe that Scripture teaches equal gender roles, and we respect their perspective. However, we also believe that Scripture teaches male leadership and female submission in the home and church, and we want to live out this teaching in our own lives.
In our marriage, we strive to live out God’s design for male leadership and female partnership. Andreas takes the lead in making decisions, but he also listens to Margaret’s perspective and values her input. Margaret submits to Andreas’ leadership, but she also shares her thoughts and feelings with him, and he takes them into consideration.
We recognize that disagreements are inevitable, but we believe that they can be worked through in a spirit of love and respect. We don’t always see eye-to-eye, but we strive to understand each other’s perspectives and to find common ground.
As a couple, we are committed to living out God’s design for male leadership and female partnership in our own lives. We believe that this is the key to a healthy and fulfilling marriage, and we want to encourage others to do the same.
In terms of significant disagreements, we try to approach them in a spirit of humility and love. We listen to each other’s perspectives, and we try to understand where the other person is coming from. We don’t always agree, but we strive to find common ground and to work through our differences in a way that honors God.
We believe that male leadership and female partnership are not mutually exclusive, but rather complementary. We strive to live out this teaching in our own lives, and we want to encourage others to do the same.
Ultimately, our goal is to glorify God in our marriage and to live out His design for male leadership and female partnership. We believe that this is the key to a healthy and fulfilling marriage, and we want to encourage others to do the same.
