Embracing God’s Timing in Real Estate

When it comes to selling a house, there are numerous factors that can influence the process. However, as a Christian, I’ve always been fascinated by the unique experiences of those who put their homes on the market in response to God’s calling. While some houses sell quickly, others may take an eternity to find a new owner, leaving families to juggle two mortgages and wonder if they’ve made a mistake.

The Power of Kingdom Thinking

I believe that God has the power to sell any house at any time, but often, He chooses to delay the process. Why? Because His ultimate goal is to shift our focus towards Kingdom thinking and finances. He wants us to develop unwavering faith, trusting in His provision rather than our own understanding.

Lessons from Jeremiah

The Bible reminds us that God’s plans are not always aligned with our own. In Jeremiah 29:11, we’re told that God has plans to bring us prosperity, not disaster. However, this verse is part of a larger message to the Jewish people held captive in Babylon. God instructs them to build lives in their current circumstances, to work for the good of their captors, and to pray for their well-being.

The Importance of Being Present

God’s message is clear: invest your energy in the present, rather than longing for the past or future. As followers of Jesus, we’re called to be fully present in our current circumstances. This means seeking God with all our hearts, just as Jeremiah 29:13 reminds us.

Praying for Our Communities

As we navigate the challenges of selling a house, let’s not forget to pray for the places we live. God promises that as our communities prosper, we will prosper too. By focusing on Kingdom thinking and finances, we can trust that God will work everything out for our good.

Seeking God in Uncertainty

In the end, it’s not about the speed at which our houses sell, but about the depth of our faith. As we seek God with all our hearts, we can rest assured that He will guide us through even the most uncertain times.
