The Power of Personal Integrity
As men, our greatest contribution to God’s new world is to become individuals of growing integrity. Who we are at our core empowers what we do in the public eye. Our goal is to be “a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work” (2 Tim. 2:21). As we strive towards this goal, the devil’s world of oppression loses ground, even if it’s not immediately visible.
The Battle Within
The crucial battle is won deep within us. It’s where God shapes us into vessels for honorable use, and it’s not an easy process. An old poem reminds us that God’s methods can be ruthless as He perfects and molds us into the people He wants us to be. But we can trust that God knows what He’s doing, even when the journey gets tough.
Sharing Our Story
As we grow in integrity, we have a story to tell. We can share our before-and-after experiences with others, not just about how Jesus saved us in the past, but about how He’s helping us in the present. This vulnerability can earn us deeper conversations and give hope to those who feel stuck. By sharing our stories, we can help others break free from the grip of the porn industry.
The Power of Prayer
Prayer is a surprising strategy for changing the world. It may feel weak or awkward, but our prayers to God are powerful because He is powerful. We don’t have to be skilled at prayer; God fixes our prayers on the way up, answering the ones we should have made. As we pray, we’re not just fighting websites; we’re fighting unseen forces that perpetuate evil.
Fighting with God’s Strategies
We’re not alone in this fight. We have God’s strategies, which are not the same as the world’s. Our weapons are not physical; they have divine power to demolish strongholds (2 Cor. 10:4 NIV). We don’t have to get mean; we have prayer. The early Christians understood this and kept winning against the odds.
Lifestyle Prayer
God is calling us into lifestyle prayer so that we experience lifelong power. We need to be more God-conscious, laughing the laugh of faith, knowing we have power over the enemy (Luke 10:19). We can start each day with a simple prayer, asking for the Holy Spirit’s power and guidance. As we pray, we’ll see miracles happen, and real kingdom advance will take place.
Join the Prayer Movement
Will you join me in praying for worldwide awakening? Let’s pray for the risen King to come down into the lowest hell of porn and gently forgive all those involved. Our King can pour out upon anyone a joy they’ve never known. If we ask for that mighty blessing, I’ll be shocked if Jesus says no.
