A Year of Gospel Proclamation: Reflecting on 2018
As the calendar flips to a new year, we take a moment to reflect on the Lord’s faithfulness and provision in 2018. For 80 years, our organization has remained committed to its founding mission: spreading the gospel through publishing and other means, all for the glory of God.
Publishing for the Global Church
In the past 12 months, we released over 20 new Bibles, each carefully designed to bear witness to the gospel and serve the diverse needs of the global church. Some notable examples include:

Equipping Believers through Books
Our publishing efforts extended beyond Bibles, with over 60 new books hitting shelves in 2018. Written by respected Christian authors, these works aimed to apply God’s Word to every area of life. Some standout titles include:

Free Resources for Spiritual Growth
We’re passionate about helping believers engage with God’s Word daily. That’s why we now offer over 35 free Bible reading plans and devotionals on our website. These resources include:

- Seasonal and topical studies
Digital Outreach and Evangelism
The internet and mobile devices have opened doors for gospel proclamation like never before. In 2018, our digital efforts included:
- Over 400 articles published on our website, all available for free
- The ESV Bible text accessed digitally over 1.6 billion times worldwide
- Partnerships with global ministries to distribute digital Bibles and resources
A Legacy of Evangelism
Our organization was founded in 1938 with a heart for evangelism. We’re humbled to see how God has used our efforts over the years, including:
- Over 19 million gospel tracts sold and distributed worldwide
- Millions of Bibles and New Testaments distributed free through partnerships on six continents
