Finding Hope in the Darkest Moments: How Suffering Can Bring Us Closer to God

Finding Comfort in the Midst of Suffering

As humans, we’ve all experienced suffering at some point in our lives. It’s natural to ask why God allows hardship and pain, especially when it seems like He’s not doing anything to stop it. When we do, we discover that He’s always present, always available, and always working to bring us closer to Himself. As James 1:2-4 reminds us, our trials and tribulations are opportunities for growth and transformation, rather than reasons for despair.
