Spreading the Word: A Global Initiative
A monumental effort is underway to equip Christian leaders around the world with a vital tool for ministry: the ESV Global Study Bible. The goal is ambitious – to send 100,000 Bibles to strategic locations where the need is greatest. To achieve this, $400,000 must be raised.
Progress and Gratitude
Thanks to the generosity of many, $125,000 has already been raised, enabling the distribution of approximately 31,000 study Bibles to brothers and sisters overseas. This outpouring of support is a testament to the power of community and the shared passion for spreading God’s Word.
A Glimpse into the Impact
Recently, a seven-member ministry team traveled to India, where they facilitated a significant distribution of the Global Study Bible in numerous villages and major cities. The impact has been profound, with pastors and lay teachers expressing deep gratitude for the resource. Despite having limited resources, these dedicated servants are using the Bible to minister, plant churches, and care for the destitute.
The Ripple Effect
As God’s Word goes forth, it is turning hearts and lives to Christ. The potential for long-term impact is staggering, as this generation in India and beyond is shaped by the teachings of the Bible. For those who have already contributed to the campaign, their support is equipping Christian leaders with the tools they need to make a difference.
Joining the Effort
For those considering making a contribution, there is still time to give before the end of the year. Every gift counts, and the collective efforts of individuals can make a significant difference in achieving the goal of distributing 100,000 Global Study Bibles.
A Message of Appreciation
Lane T. Dennis, PhD, President, expresses heartfelt gratitude for the prayers and support of the community. “I am indeed grateful to you for your help – as the Lord leads in His own way – to distribute 100,000 Global Study Bibles ‘to the ends of the earth’ (Acts 13:47) – for the sake of the Gospel and our Savior’s glory alone.”
