Empowering Africa’s Church Leaders: A Mission of Hope and Transformation

Empowering African Pastors and Church Leaders

In the heart of Africa, a remarkable ministry is unfolding. Jacob Lee, a devoted missionary, has dedicated his life to equipping African pastors and church leaders with gospel-centered resources. Through his tireless efforts, countless lives are being transformed by the power of God’s Word.

A Journey of Faith

Born and raised in Iowa, Jacob grew up in a God-fearing Lutheran family. His wife, Carol, was born in India to Lutheran missionaries. After a life-changing experience on a lonely Iowa road, Jacob felt an unmistakable call to become a missionary. With unwavering determination, he pursued his calling, eventually settling in northern Uganda with his wife.

Confronting Challenges

The region they serve is marked by widespread poverty, limited access to sound biblical training, and a scarcity of resources. Undeterred, Jacob and Carol have established Reaching Africa’s Unreached (RAU), a ministry dedicated to providing training, mentoring, and resources to local pastors. Their vision is to empower these leaders to build self-sustaining churches that can effectively propagate the gospel.

Holistic Ministry

Recognizing the complex needs of their community, RAU has adopted a holistic approach to ministry. In addition to providing theological training, they offer practical skills such as agricultural training and business management. This multifaceted approach enables pastors to support their families and communities while sharing the gospel.

Strategic Partnerships

RAU has formed strategic partnerships with organizations like Crossway, The Rafiki Foundation, Faith Comes By Hearing, and The Neopolis Network. These collaborations have facilitated the distribution of study Bibles, Bible recordings, and other vital resources to thousands of Christian leaders across Africa.

Prayer Requests

As Jacob and Carol continue their vital work, they request prayer for:

  • Refreshment in the Lord and perseverance in the face of challenges
  • Protection during the pandemic and resumption of ministry activities
  • The raising up of local leaders and ministry partners
  • Safe delivery of resources, including 20,000 ESV Global Study Bibles
  • Continued health and decades of fruitful ministry

Joining Hands

Through gospel-centered partnerships, we can collectively make a profound impact on the lives of African pastors and church leaders. As we join hands with Jacob and Carol, we are reminded that together, we can achieve far more than we ever could alone.
