Depression and anxiety can make us focus on what we lack, but thanksgiving can help us see what we often overlook. Take time to walk around your home or yard and thank God for all you see and have. Thanksgiving is life-giving and can help shift your focus away from negative thoughts.
A Prayer for You
Lord, you are full of joy and peace. Many of us are not. We are sad and panicky. Help us to see who you are and to worship and praise you. Lead us to confess our sins and our faith. Give us what we lack and give us thanksgiving as we see you more clearly in our lives. Above all, remind us of Jesus Christ who suffered more and deeper for us, and fill us with gratitude for His grace. AMEN.
