**Standing Firm on Eternal Truth**

**Unwavering Guidance in a World of Opinions**

As I reflect on my journey as a follower of Christ, I’m reminded of the importance of standing firm on the foundation of truth. In a world where opinions reign supreme, it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of conflicting views. But as believers, we’re called to anchor ourselves to something greater.

The Bible reminds us that “everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed” (John 3:20-21, NKJV). This verse highlights the fundamental difference between truth and opinion. While opinions are fleeting and influenced by personal, national, and cultural interests, truth is eternal, unchanging, and rooted in the nature, character, and will of God.

As I navigate the complexities of life, I’ve come to realize that my faith isn’t built on shifting sands of opinion, but on the rock-solid foundation of God’s truth. This truth serves as a plumb line, measuring the integrity of my life, nation, and culture. It’s an anchor that holds steady against the turbulent winds of adversity, a light that illuminates the path ahead, and a power that exalts me to live a life of purpose and integrity.

So, how do we embody this truth in our daily lives? We can start by infusing our love songs with words of truth, our prayers with knowledge of God’s character, and our kindnesses with the practice of authenticity. We can let the beauty of truth shine through our worship, our proclamations, and our choices. By doing so, we’ll leave a lasting legacy that honors God and inspires others to follow in His footsteps.

As the Psalmist so eloquently prayed, “Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day” (Psalm 25:5, NKJV). May we, too, commit to walking in obedience to God’s truth, even when the world around us seems to be veering off course.
