**Breaking Free from Brokenness**

**Unshackling the Chains of Brokenness**

Imagine being trapped in a prison of your own making, weighed down by the anchors of depression, addiction, and self-doubt. I know the feeling all too well. But what if I told you there’s a way to break free from those shackles and step into a life of radiant glory?

The apostle Paul reminds us that our bodies, once crippled by weakness and brokenness, will one day be resurrected in strength and splendor (1 Corinthians 15:43). This transformation is made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who breathed new life into us, liberating us from the crushing burden of guilt and shame.

My own journey from darkness to light is a testament to this truth. Once bound by the chains of addiction and feelings of worthlessness, I found redemption through the risen Lord. When I surrendered my burdens to Him, laying everything at His feet, I was flooded with an unshakeable peace and rest. He became my anchor, my solid ground, and my guiding light.

Through faith in Jesus’ sacrifice, we can bury our old, cracked lives with Him and rise into a brand new existence, one that’s lived for His glory and by His grace. We can acknowledge our weaknesses, knowing that He will raise us up in His strength. As Paul so eloquently put it, “The life you see me living is not ‘ine,’ but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20b).

Jesus’ purpose is to bring us life in all its fullness (John 10:10), and He has fulfilled that promise through His death and resurrection. So let us surrender our brokenness to the Father, that He may raise us into His glory and transform our weaknesses into His strength.

**A Prayer for New Life**

Heavenly Father, take these shattered pieces of me and lay them at Your feet. I surrender everything to You. Heal my shame, free me from fear, and bury them forever. Fill me today with Your Spirit, raise me into new life by Your grace and mercy. I choose to come into Your presence, to be intimate with You.

**Reflection**

What areas of your life do you need to surrender to God, that He may create new life in you? Take a moment to bring those broken parts to Him in prayer, laying them at the cross.
