Unlocking the Power of God’s Promises
As followers of Christ, we have access to a treasure trove of promises made by God throughout the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, these promises are waiting to be claimed and fulfilled in our lives. But how can we tap into this supernatural power?
The Faithfulness of God
In 2 Corinthians 1:19-20, we’re reminded that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is a promise-keeper. He always does exactly what He says, fulfilling every one of God’s promises without exception. This faithfulness is a hallmark of His character, and it’s a trait that sets Him apart from humanity.
Authority and Wisdom
As believers, we have the assurance that all authority in heaven and earth has been given to Jesus (Matthew 28:18). Moreover, God’s great secret plan, now revealed, is Christ Himself, in whom lie hidden all the mighty untapped treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:2-3). This means that we have everything we need when we have Christ, and we’re filled with God through our union with Him (Colossians 2:9-10).
Claiming God’s Promises
So, what does this mean for us? It means we can make a list of all the promises of God that apply to our lives and claim them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. By doing so, we can begin to live supernaturally, drawing upon the supernatural resources of God.
A Life of Supernatural Living
Dr. Bill Bright challenges us to refuse the typical Christian existence and instead live a life characterized by the supernatural. By faith, we can claim God’s promises and experience His power in our daily lives, becoming a testimony to the world that we serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:15-19
Take a moment to reflect on these verses and the promises they hold. As you read, remember that God is faithful, and His message to you is always “Yes.”
