**Unwavering Confidence in the Midst of Uncertainty**
As I reflect on my journey, I’ve come to realize that trusting God is more than just a catchy phrase. It’s a deliberate choice to surrender control and lean into His promises. When faced with challenges, it’s easy to throw around phrases like “just trust God” without truly understanding the weight of those words.
For me, trusting God meant taking action, not just waiting for a miracle to happen. It meant standing still, even when every fiber of my being screamed to take control. It meant believing that I didn’t have to be the hero of my own story, that I had a reliable source of strength backing me up.
The Amplified version of Proverbs 3:26 paints a vivid picture of what it means to trust God: “For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger].” It’s a reminder that God is our rock, our shield, and our provider. He is the one who loves us with an everlasting love, and we can rely on His faithfulness.
In times of weakness, God is our strength. In times of danger, He is our buckler. In times of need, He is our provider. And when our trust begins to wane, He reminds us of His faithfulness in our lives.
As I pray, I ask God to remind me of His faithfulness, even when my trust falters. I ask Him to be my confidence, firm and strong, and to keep my foot from being caught in hidden dangers. And I know that He will, because He is a God who loves us with an unwavering love.
