**Love Without Condition**

**The Unconditional Love We Owe Each Other**

As I reflect on my journey, I’m reminded of a poignant moment when a friend asked me about my feelings towards my father. The truth was, I struggled to love him. His addiction had caused me immense pain, and the memories still lingered. But then, a gentle nudge from my friend led me to Romans 13:8, which says, “Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another.” It was as if God was whispering to me, “Don’t you owe your father love, just as I have loved you unconditionally?”

This realization struck a chord. If God, in all His perfection, could love me despite my flaws, why couldn’t I extend the same love to my father? I began to pray, asking God to help me love and forgive my father. Slowly but surely, I started to see him through God’s eyes – as a broken person in need of love and redemption.

The day I finally told my father, “I love you,” will be etched in my memory forever. Tears streamed down his face, and in that moment, I knew I had paid a debt of love. This act of faith transformed our relationship and deepened my understanding of God’s boundless love.

Perhaps you’re struggling to love someone who has hurt you. Remember, God’s love knows no bounds, and He desires to empower you to love others in the same way. As you seek to pay the debt of love, pray for wisdom, strength, and guidance. Ask God to help you see others through His eyes, and watch how your relationships can be transformed.

**A Prayer for a Deeper Connection**

If you’re yearning for a deeper connection with God, it can start right now. God isn’t concerned with your words; He’s looking at the attitude of your heart. Be honest with Him, and He’ll meet you where you are.

Here’s a suggestion:

“God, I believe you created me to know you. Thank you for sending Jesus as a sacrifice to pay the penalty I deserve. I believe His death and resurrection have restored me to you. Please forgive me for everything that has offended you. Take first place in my life and help me become the person you created me to be.”

Will you pray this prayer with sincerity, and watch how God can transform your life and relationships?
