Protecting Your Legacy
A wise friend once shared a valuable piece of advice with me: take stock of the people whose lives would be impacted by my moral failures. I took the time to create a list, and it’s a sobering reminder of the far-reaching consequences of our actions. My family – my wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren – would all suffer if I were to compromise my values.

As a father, the thought of intentionally causing harm to my child is unbearable. Yet, engaging in extramarital affairs would inflict a deeper and more lasting pain on them than any physical injury. The Bible reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and our actions have real consequences.

So, what’s the solution? It’s simple yet profound: do what pleases God. When we prioritize His will, we safeguard our relationships and ensure a lasting legacy. We must recognize that our choices have a ripple effect, impacting those around us in ways we may not even realize.

By choosing to honor God, we build a foundation of integrity that will stand the test of time. We must remember that one moment of weakness is not worth sacrificing a lifetime of trust, love, and respect from those who matter most. Let’s strive to make choices that bring joy and pride to our families, rather than pain and regret.
