Empowered by the Holy Spirit
As believers, we’re called to fulfill the mission of Christ, but often we feel inadequate for the task. The truth is, we’re mere vessels in need of God’s power. It’s only when we’re empowered by the Holy Spirit that we can truly make a difference.
The Example of Jesus
Take Jesus of Nazareth, for instance. Even He needed the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish God’s will on earth. Acts 10:38 reminds us that “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” Jesus’ ministry was marked by good deeds and healings, all made possible by the Holy Spirit.
Our Dependence on the Holy Spirit
Similarly, we cannot fulfill our mission to preach the gospel to all creation without the Holy Spirit’s guidance and empowerment. We’re not relying on human strength and wisdom, but on the supernatural power of God. As we journey through life, we’ll encounter people who need to hear the gospel, people who are sick, and those oppressed by the devil. But with the Holy Spirit’s anointing, we can bring deliverance and hope to those around us.
Yielding to the Holy Spirit
So, the next time you feel inadequate or overwhelmed, remember that the Holy Spirit is there to help. Yield to Him, and He will make it happen. Let’s pray together: “Father, please empower us through the anointing and power of your Spirit to bring the gospel of Jesus to our world and deliver as many as possible from the power of the devil. Amen.”
