When Little Things Matter to God

When God Cares About the Little Things

A Miraculous Display of Hospitality

The first miracle of Jesus was at a wedding celebration, a joyous occasion that lasted for several days. It was a time of gift-giving, speech-making, feasting, and merriment. In those days, hospitality was a sacred duty, and the absence of wine would have been a social embarrassment of great proportions.

A Mother’s Request and a Son’s Response

Mary, the mother of Jesus, approached her son with a request for help. However, Jesus replied that his “time had not yet come.” But, seeing the need of his friends, he chose to intervene, demonstrating that what matters to us matters to God. As his children, we can trust that our concerns are important to him.

The Power of Intimacy with God

Hebrews 4:15-16 reminds us that our high priest, Jesus, understands our weaknesses and invites us to come before his throne with confidence, where we will find grace. This scripture assures us that God cares about the intricacies of our lives. We can be certain that he is concerned about the things that hurt us, and he won’t dismiss our concerns as trivial.

God’s Throne of Grace

So, don’t hesitate to share your struggles with God. He won’t turn you away or think your problems are silly. Instead, he will meet you at his throne of grace, where you will find comfort, guidance, and peace. Remember, what matters to you matters to God, and he is always ready to listen and respond.
